Day 01: Arrive at Cochin
On landing at the Cochin airport, you will meet the assistants, who will transfer you to the hotel after freshening up and lunch, there will be a city sightseeingy tour. Visitors can view the famous Dutch Palace located at Mattancherry. In addition to that, the tour will include witnessing the Jewish Synagogue, Fort Kochi and the St. Francis Church, which is said to be the oldest European church located in India. Santa Cruz Basilica that was originally built in 1557 by the Portuguese. Chinese fishing nets are an added attraction of the city, and these believed to have been brought by Chinese traders. Even the Cochin Backwaters are very famous, and lures the attention of great numbers of tourists at all times. Visit to the Marine Drive can also be a great experience altogether. In the evening, witness the famous Kathakali dance performances followed by an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02: Cochin - Munnar (130kms)
The day will start with breakfast at the hotel and departing for Munnar by road. Munnar is beautifully covered with carpeted greens of tea and coffee plantations and this breathtaking hill station attracts and lures the tourists from different parts of the world. Located in the eastern side of Kerala, it is about 130 km from Cochin. The beautiful country life is bordered with the hypnotic backwaters of Kumarakom. On arriving in Munnar, check
into the hotel, and complete your lunch at the hotel. This will be followed by an afternoon tour of the picturesque hill station. Visit the Tata Tea Museum that houses an interesting plethora of relics and artefacts. Stay at the hotel overnight.
Day 03: Munnar
Followed by a hearty breakfast, visit the Eravikulam National park situated in Rajamalai. It is famous because it houses the largest population of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr or popularly known as wild goats. In the latter half of the afternoon, travel to top Station mainly perched on a ridge. It will offer some of the most fascinating and interesting view of the ruins of the old ropeway station. This station actually linked the
foothills of Kerala to the tea estates. En-route to this station, witness the Kundale Lake, the Mattupetty Dam, and the Echo point. The serene beauty, the exotic flora and fauna, and the sprawling lawns are something not to be missed at any cost during the stay in Munnar. Stay at the hotel overnight.
Day 04: Munnar – Thekkady (120km)
After breakfast at the hotel, straightaway drive to Thekkady and check in to the hotel. Visitors will get the opportunity to experience the spectacle and mesmerizing views of the rolling tea and cardamom plantations. Here, you can even savour the rich fragrance of cinnamon and cloves. This place is located at a height of about 2800 ft. above sea level. Following this, you will visit Periyar which is known to be the most popular wildlife sanctuary of South India. Day 05: Thekkady – Kumarakom (120km)
Right after a breakfast at the hotel, you will drive to Kumarakom. This is a beautiful place, which is the heart of the famous backwaters of Kerala. You will love the relaxing and calm atmosphere here. After lunch, spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and watching the sun go down from the middle of the Lake Vembanad. Day 06: Kumarakom (130km)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will explore Kumarakom for the rest of the day. Visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary in order to witness diverse species of birds here. It is said to be the paradise for bird lovers. The cascading Aruvikkuzhi Waterfalls is a paradise for photographers. In the evening, you are free to carry out independent activities like relaxing. The Kumarakom backwaters will offer the excellent opportunity of relaxing in the lap of nature. Spend the night at the hotel.
Day 07: Kumarakom – Alleppey (house boat)
The day will start with breakfast at the hotel before beginning the journey to Alleppey. On arriving to Alleppey, you will embark on an exciting houseboat cruise. This cruise will be previously booked and arranged. The traditional houseboat will give a completely different experience when it starts exploring the long and meandering ride through the unique backwaters of Kerala. You will even get the opportunity to spend an entire night on the houseboat itself. This experience will be worth cherishing.
Day 08: Alleppey – Kovalam (175 kms)
The next morning, you will disembark from the houseboat right at Alleppey following which you will be transferred to Kovalam. On the way, you can visit places like Krishnapuram Palace, Arthunkal Church and even Ambalapuzha Temple. On arriving at Kovalam, you will check in to the Beach hotel. Day 09: Kovalam – Kanyakumari - Kovalam
Right after breakfast, you will start for Kanyakumari. This place is highly renowned for its fascinating sunsets and sunrises. It is the end of India's ‘land' and it is located at the confluence of the Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean, and Bay of Bengal. In the course of exploring the city, visit Vivekananda Rock Memorial that was built in the memory of Swami Vivekananda. He was a renowned philosopher of India who meditated and transformed into
a spiritual leader. Other places to visit in the city include Gandhi Memorial, Sanguthurai Beach, Bhagavathi Amman Temple and Vattakottai Fort based on the time available for the rest of the day. You will love Kanyakumari because it is the only place in India where one can watch the sun setting and the moon rising simultaneously on the evening of a full moon. After completing the excursion trip to Kanyakumari, you will get back to Kovalam in the evening. Dinner will be served at the hotel and stay at the hotel at night in Kovalam.
Day 10: In Kovalam
This is the ideal day for relaxation and independent activities. You can explore different renowned places here at your own free will. These can include places like Hawa Beach, Lighthouse Beach, Valiathura Pier, Halcyon Castle and Vizhinjam Caves. You can even sit back and relax at beach hotels stay or indulge in some Ayurvedic spa. Day 11: Trivandrum –Onward Destinasia Flight
Following early morning breakfast at the hotel in Kovalam, you will check out of the hotel and consequently you will be transferred to Trivandrum airport for your return flight.
