Tamil Nadu is one of the panoramic states of India which perfectly merges all aspects of culture, heritage, beauty, nature, history, ethnicity and spirituality. The state is a popular tourist destination with myriad attractions but what makes it so popular among the people of the world, is the presence of thousands of pious shrines and pilgrimage centres based in various parts of the state. Having existence for decades this temples are the soul of Tamil Nadu, and a preferred visiting place for thousands of devotees.

01 Day: Arrival Chennai
The spiritual tour of Tamil Nadu commences from Chennai. The journey begins after your arrival at the Chennai International airport or at the Chennai Railway station where our representative will be awaiting your arrival. On meeting, our executive will welcome you to the city and assist you in getting transferred to the hotel premises by a private car. He will also help with the check in formalities and in getting settled in. The executive will provide a short brief on the tour program and necessity informations regarding the same. Having lunch take rest at the hotel premises or set out to visit the city. One of the main attractions of the city is the Marina beach which is ideally the second longest beach in the world extending to a distance end to end of 13km. Swimming, bathing, horseback ride or a casual stroll in the golden beaches, the beach s full of entertainment and one can spend quality time here. In the evening return to the hotel and have a good night sleep.
02 Day: Chennai
The following day of the tour begins after having a relishing breakfast at the hotel. It’s a day scheduled for sightseeing in Chennai. Stretched over an area of nearly 50 miles facing the massive yet beautiful waterfront on Bay of Bengal, Chennai is the 4th largest of the country. The first trading post in the country was established in 1653 by the British officers and Fort Saint George was created to protect it. This building is presently used as the state government’s secretariat and it’s worth a visit. Santhome Cathedral is the oldest temple of the city having its existence from 14th-15th century, and an ancient colonial structure n the heart of the city. Later continue the tour visiting Kapaleeswara Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, which is one of the oldest creations in the famous Dravidian style. Another prominent temple in the city is Parthasarthy Temple, a holy shrine dedicated to Lord Krishna. Later on in the evening do visit the splendid markets of Chennai and return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
03 Day: Chennai - Tirupati (140 kms: 4 hrs)
The third day of the tour is scheduled for a visit to Tirupati. From Chennai it’s a long drive of 140 kms so it’s better to leave immediately after having breakfast at the hotel. Based at the foot of the beautiful Tirumala Hills, Tirupati is a temple town where the pious shrine of Lord Venkateshwara stands. With astonishing geographical limits, set over the panoramic hills this beautiful and blissful town is famous for being a pilgrimage centre of the southern part of the country. Huge number of devotees gathers before the temple all throughout the year to offer their prayers and valuable offerings like gold jewellery, coins and even hair. Later visit the other prominent temples here like Alamelu Mangapuram, temple of Lord Balaji, Sri Anjaneyaswami Temple, Sri Govindarajaswami Temple, Sri Bedi Anjaneyaswami Temple, Sri Kodandaramaswami Temple, and Sri Kalyana Venkateswaraswami temple which is about 12kms from Tirupati. After the visit return to the hotel for dinner and night stay.
04 Day: Tirupati - Pondicherry (230 kms: 6 - 7 hrs)
The fourth day of the tour is scheduled for a travel to Pondicherry, the French colonies capital for decades. So after having breakfast at the hotel set out for a drive to Pondicherry. On arrival check in a hotel and get refreshed. After having been freshened up start the Pondicherry tour by visiting Aurobindo Ashram, an authentic seat for learning Vedic cultures. Later also visit Auroville, the planned city of Dawn, showing prospects of the new world. Its a fascinating location that pulls in millions of devotees round the year to this location and offer their services for free. Later on visit the beautiful yet small market places of the city and then return to the hotel for dinner and night stay.
05 Day: Pondicherry
The fifth day of the tour is also scheduled to visit the fabulous city of Pondicherry and explore its myriad attractions. After breakfast set out to visit Ecole Françoise d’Extreme Orient, which is almost hundred years old and it hosts programs on archaeological studies, Sanskrit and Tamil. The city has quite a few numbers of prominent churches which also proves the evidence of Catholic influence in the place. The popular churches here includes Jesuit Cathedral (Notre Dame de la Conception’ 1691-1765), The Church of Our Lady of Angels (1855), Church by King Louis Napoleon III, and also the 17th century Chapel of Our Sisters of Cluny. After the tour return hotel for night stay.
06 Day: Pondicherry - Tanjore (170 kms: 4 hrs)
The next day after breakfast set out on a drive to Tanjore which s about 170 kms away from Pondicherry. On arriving at Tanjore check in a hotel and get refreshed before leaving for the wonderful sights of Tanjore. The first destination to visit here is Brihadeshwara temple, which is known to be built by the Raja and it symbolises Chola architecture. The temple has been quite precious for the Chola kings which today stand as a prominent World Heritage site. The next destination to visit is Thanjavur Palace with gigantic construction of 1550 having high corridors, designer walls and arsenal towers. Saraswati Mahal Library is another prominent place which store almost 44000 of old manuscripts mostly written on palm trees in the ancient age. Many other such manuscripts are present in this library which was established in 1700 AD. Later on return hotel for dinner and night stay.
07 Day: Tanjore - Trichy - Madurai (158 kms: 3 hrs)
The following day after breakfast set out for Madurai at a distance of about 158kms. On the way take a halt at Trichy and here, visit the famous Rock Fort Temple positioned over a large rocky outcrop. Apart from this one should also visit Sri Ranganathanswami Temple which s based at the heart of Cauvery River covering an area of nearly 2.5sqkm. After visiting the two prominent temples and other spiritual places in the nearby area, reach Madurai. On arrival at the hotel get comfortably settled in for the night. Overnight stay at the hotel.
08 Day: Madurai
The eighth day of the tour starts early exploring the beautiful sunrise at Madurai. After having breakfast set out for a sightseeing tour in the city. The first destination is Meenakshi Sundareshwar, which notably is the largest temple complex of the country and it was built in 16th and 18th century. Showcasing an architectural vista of 33 million sculptures this temple is one of the prime tourist destinations in the state. Other prominent temples here include Tiruparankundram Murugan Temple and Palamuthirsolai Murugan Temple having explicit architecture and harmonious environ. Tirumal Nayaks palace is another prominent monument and worth a visit for its exquisite architecture. After the tour return hotel for dinner and night stay.
09 Day: Madurai - Rameshwaram (172 kms: 4 hrs)
After having breakfast set out on a drive to Rameshwaram at a distance of 172kms. After reaching the destination check in a hotel for refreshment and settling in. Based on the beautiful island of the Gulf of Munnar, this place is often called as the Varanasi of Southern India. Its a pious pilgrimage centre and visited by many tourist and devotees throughout the year.
Ramanathaswamy Temple is the holy destination which was built in 12th century AD and had awe inspiring construction which is unique till date. The massive corridors still stand as one of the longest in the country. Almost all activities of the city are based around the temple. Spent the evening relaxing, and stay overnight at the hotel.
10 Day: Rameshwaram - Tiruchendur - Kanyakumari (250 kms: 6 hrs)
Start the day early with a healthy breakfast and then set out to visit Adams bridge which is a chain of islets, sandbanks and reefs. These structures almost connect India with Sri Lanka. There is a mythological reference to these islets as this is believed to be the stepping stones of Monkey army and Hanuman to rescue Goddess Sita from the evil clutches of the King of demons Ravana. After an explicit tour, return to the hotel and check out for a travel to Kantakumari. On the way visit Trichendur Murugan Temple, one of the largest temples of the country. Outstanding example of Dravidian architecture is visible in this temple. After the visit leave for the destination and on arrival check in the hotel and relax for the rest of the day. One of the greatest attractions is the beautiful sunrise and sunset on the land of Kanyakumari. Explore the beauty and retire at the hotel for the night.
11 Day: Kanyakumari
The eleventh day of the tour is dedicated for a sightseeing tour in Kanyakumari. So after breakfast at the hotel set out to enjoy the various prominent temples of the city. Kumari Amman Devi Temple, Vivekananda Rock & Ashram are some of the prominent destinations in Kanyakumari. Other temples like Thanumalayan temple, Our Lady ransom Church and popular tourist places can be explored in the evening. One can try specific local cuisine for dinner at the popular food joints of the city. After having dinner return to the hotel for night stay.
12 Day: Kanyakumari - Trivandrum (80 kms: 4 hrs) - Onward Destination flight
The following day make it a point to wake up early and savour the crimson beauty of sunrise in Kanyakumari. Its a harmonious view and one that is treasured for years. After having breakfast set out for Trivandrum city which is based at a distance of 80kms. Trivandrum is the capital city of Kerala and poses immense natural beauty pertaining to its position of seaside city on the seven hills. Sri Padmanabhaswamy Swami Temple is one of the important destination and one of the most pious shrines here. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and the place remains visited by many devotees throughout the year. Other attractions here include Sree Chitra Art Gallery, Horse Palace, and Padmatheertha Kulam (Temple Pond). After the full day tour get transferred to the airport for a onward flight to the scheduled destination.
